About Us

In 2023, four Georgetown Day School students, Grace, Nate, Nora, and Peter, participated in the GDS Hopper Tank competition, aimed at creating businesses with social impact. They won $1,000 to launch Fruitful Connection, a website dedicated to reducing food insecurity and waste by linking organizations with surplus food to food banks. Collaborating with the Environmental Task Force (ETF), which had been developing a food donation program since 2022, they focused on repurposing wasted cafeteria food through their platform.
